भारत बना चीनी का सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक तथा उपभोक्ता । 

1. भारत विश्व में चीनी का सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक तथा उपभोक्ता और दूसरा सबसे बड़ा निर्यातक बन गया है।
2. देश में चीनी सत्र अक्टूबर, 2021 से सितम्बर, 2022 के दौरान 5000 लाख मीट्रिक टन से अधिक गन्ने का उत्पादन हुआ है, जिसमें से लगभग 3574 मीट्रिक टन गन्ने  चीनी मिलों ने संवर्धित कर करीब 394 लाख मीट्रिक टन चीनी (सुक्रोज) का उत्पादन किया है।
3. इसमें  एथनॉल तैयार करने के लिए 35 लाख मीट्रिक टन चीनी का उत्पादन किया गया।
4. भारत अब विश्व का सबसे बड़ा चीनी उत्पादक तथा उपभोक्ता और विश्व के दूसरे सबसे बड़े चीनी निर्यातक के रूप में उभर कर सामने आया है।
5. इससे लगभग 40 हजार करोड़ रूपए की विदेशी मुद्रा अर्जित हुयी है।

India Became The Largest Producer And Consumer Of Sugar.

1. India has become the largest producer and consumer of sugar in the world and the second largest exporter.
2. During the sugar season from October 2021 to September 2022, more than 5000 lakh metric tonnes of sugarcane has been produced in the country, out of which about 3574 metric tonnes of cane sugar mills have produced about 394 lakh metric tonnes of sugar (sucrose).
3. In this, 35 lakh metric tonnes of sugar were produced for the preparation of ethanol.
4. India has now emerged as the world's largest sugar producer and consumer and the second-largest sugar exporter in the world.
5. Foreign exchange of about 40 thousand crore rupees has been earned from this.
