नारियल का वृक्ष बहुत बड़ा होता है। आकार ताड़ और खजूर की तरह होता है। यह वृक्ष पूर्व की ओर कलकत्ता, जगन्नाथ (पुरी) आदि स्थानों में अधिकतर होता है। विशेष कर नदी या समुद्र के तट पर अधिक होता है। इस वृक्ष में शाखा नहीं होती, ऊपरी भाग में खजूर की तरह पत्ते होते हैं, उसे नारियल दूध कहते हैं। जब वे सूख जाते हैं, तब उनकी भीतरी मींगी को गोला या खोपड़ा कहते हैं। यह मंगल कार्यों में अधिकतर लिया जाता है। फल इसमें पेड़ लगाने के प्रायः आठ वर्ष बाद फलता है। इसके पत्तों की सीकों की झाड़ू, फल की जटा की मजबूत रस्सी और पांवपाश बनाये जाते हैं। इसकी रस्सी जल में नहीं सड़ती। इसके खोपड़ा का हुक्का बनता है। इसके भीतर के गोला से तेल निकलता है। नारियल का तेल खाने, साबुन बनाने और सिर में लगाने के काम में विशेष व्यवहार किया जाता है।

The coconut tree is very big. The shape is like a palm and a date palm. This tree is mostly in Calcutta, Jagannath (Puri), etc. towards the east. Especially more on the banks of rivers or sea. This tree does not have branches, the upper part has leaves like dates, and it is called coconut milk. When they dry up, their inner meengi is called Gola or Kopra. It is mostly taken in auspicious works. It bears fruit almost eight years after planting the tree. Brooms made of the coins of its leaves, strong ropes, and leg loops are made from the cobwebs of the fruit. Its rope does not rot in water. Hookah is made of its copra. The oil comes out from its inner circle. Special treatment is given in eating coconut oil, making soap, and applying it on the head.

गुण :- नारियल मधुर, भारी स्निग्ध, शीतल, हृदय हितकारी, पुस्तिकारक, बस्तिशोधक, रक्त-पित्त नाशक, वीर्यवर्द्धक, स्वादिष्ट, विष्टम्भकारक, दुर्जर, मदकारक, वातनाशक और कृमिवर्धक है। यह असकफ, क्षय, रुधिर दोष को नष्ट करने वाला है।

कोमल नारियल विशेषकर पित्तज्वर, रुधिर-विकार, तृषा, वमन, दाह और रक्त-पित्त रोगों को नष्ट करता है।

English Translate:-

Qualities:- Coconut is sweet, heavy aliphatic, cool, heart-beneficial, booklet, colonizer, blood-biliary killer, semen enhancer, delicious, vistambhakaraka, durgar, madaraka, vatanasika, and worm-increasing. It is going to destroy ashraf, decay, and blood defects.

Gentle coconut especially destroys gall fever, a blood disorder, Trisha, vomiting, burning, and blood-biliary diseases.

पक्व नारियल:- दाहकारक, पित्तजनक, भारी, वीर्यवर्द्धक और पुष्टिकारक है। शुष्क नारियल कठिनता से पचने वाला, दाहकारक, भारी, स्निग्ध, मलस्तम्भन तथा रुचिदायक है।

नारियल के जल की गुण:- स्निग्ध, स्वादिष्ट, भारी, शीतल, हृदय हितकारी, दीपन, वस्तिशोधक, वीर्यवर्द्धक, पित्त निवारक, प्यास नाशक और वात नाशक हैं। यह वात-कफ, गुल्म, श्वास, कास और अरुचि को नाश करता है तथा इससे वमन, मूर्छा, पित्तज्वर दूर होता है।

English Translate:-

Ripe Coconut:- It is inflammatory, choleretic, heavy, seminal, and nutritious. Dry coconut is difficult to digest, causative, heavy, astringent, laxative, and palatable.

Properties of coconut water:- It is aliphatic, delicious, heavy, cool, heart beneficial, lamp, Vastishodhak, semen enhancer, Pitta Nivarak, Thirst killer, and Vata killer. It destroys Vata-Kapha, Gulm, breath, Kaas, and Aruchi and it removes vomiting, fainting, and gall fever.

नारियल पुष्पजल :- शीतल तथा रक्तातिसार, रक्त, पित्त, प्रमेह और सोमरोग नाशक है।

नरिकेल पुष्पजल :- भारी,वीर्यवर्द्धक, तत्काल मदकारक, अत्यंत स्निग्ध, अम्ल, कफकारक, भूमि और वातनाशक है।

नारियल की ताड़ी :- अत्यंत स्निग्ध, मदकारक, भारी एवं वीर्यवर्द्धक है। वही जल दोपहर के पीछे अमलभाव युक्त होकर कफ कारक, पित्तजनक और कृमिनाशक है।

मधु नारियल तेल के गुण :- शीतल, मधुर, पुष्टिकारक, बलकारक, रुचिदायक, अग्निप्रदीपक, कान्तिजनक, क्रमिकारक, स्निग्ध, कफ को कुपित करने वाला, आमकारक, कामवर्द्धक, दाहनाशक और तृषा, पित्त, श्रम, वात तथा अतिसार रोग निवारक है।

खुजली, दाद और चम्बल पर :- नारियल के खोपड़े का टुकड़ा-टुकड़ा कर पाताल यंत्र से तेल निकालें और लगावें।

English Translate:-

Coconut flower water: - It is cool and antidiarrheal, blood, bile, gonorrhea, and some disease.

Coconut Flower Water:- Heavy, seminal, instant intoxicant, extremely aliphatic, acidic, phlegmatic, earthy, and satanic.

Coconut toddy:- It is extremely aliphatic, intoxicating, heavy, and seminal. The same water is a phlegm factor, choleretic, and anthelmintic by being acidic in the afternoon.

Properties of Honey Coconut Oil:- Cool, sweet, nutritive, forceful, palatable, fire-lightening, radiant, gradual, astringent, aphrodisiac, common agent, aphrodisiac, anti-inflammatory and cures thirst, bile, labor, Vata, and diarrhea.

On itching, ringworm, and pimples:- Take out oil from the underworld by cutting pieces of coconut shell and applying it.
